| LY, you were a great help last week, and the week before.
JGB, thank you. You email to me has made me realize that the self-esteem plummet I went through last week was unwarrented. There are people who care in administration. I thank you again, for being one of those people.
Jon, who lived in my house this summer - Thank you for talking to me that first week of school. I don't know how you did it, but I think I'm going through the same thing you went through your sophomore year as an LA. Seriously, you don't know how much help you were in letting me rant, and giving me advice on how your LA experience was.
I still need to figure out how to deal with the trauma I was subjected to two weeks and 18 hours ago. Perhaps that will help in my meeting with JGB next week.
I know I was right not to give up completely on Case. There are good people here, just the not so good people in charge sometimes almost completely destroy me before the good people can arrive on the scene. | | |

A personal note by someone:.....this stuff can be applied to men, too. Though sexual assaults against men are rarer and less reported, they still happen.
Another personal note by someone: And I should know because I've had this happen to me. (actually, no, I've had someone try to jump me. I proceeded to beat the shit out of him. I do fight back. Tooth and nail if necessary. Remember, classmates can jump you.)
A lot has been said about how to prevent rape.
Women should learn self-defence. Women should lock themselves in their houses after dark. Women shouldn't have long hair and women shouldn't wear short skirts. Women shouldn't leave drinks unattended. Fuck, they shouldn't dare to get drunk at all.
instead of that bullshit, how about:
if a woman is drunk, don't rape her.
if a woman is walking alone at night, don't rape her.
if a women is drugged and unconscious, don't rape her.
if a woman is wearing a short skirt, don't rape her.
if a woman is jogging in a park at 5 am, don't rape her.
if a woman looks like your ex-girlfriend you're still hung up on, don't rape her.
if a woman is asleep in her bed, don't rape her.
